Probate Applications

If you have been named as an Estate Trustee for an estate, or if a loved-one has died without a will, you may need to apply to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice for a Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee. We can explain your duties and responsibilities as trustee, as well as prepare and file all the necessary court forms on your behalf.

With our holistic approach, we work with our clients to develop comprehensive estate plans to achieve their individual goals, including the drafting of wills and powers of attorney tailored to suit each client’s personal and financial circumstances.

Estate Administration

Settling an estate can be a complex and time-consuming task. We are pleased to offer estate administration services to support you in your role as Estate Trustee. Our services are flexible to your individual needs, with all-inclusive or à-la-carte options available. Whether you are looking for occasional advice or guidance, more hands-on assistance with the many tasks involved in estate administration, or anything in between, we can craft a solution that meets your needs.

Other Services

In addition to our core estate planning and administration work, we assist clients with a range of related matters. This includes preparing and filing guardianship applications for incapable adults, offering consultations for beneficiaries seeking guidance about their rights or responsibilities, and providing notary public and commissioning services for estate-related and general legal documents. Many of these services can be completed virtually for your convenience — while commissioning can be done remotely, notary services must be completed in person.

Will & Powers of Attorney Drafting
